Up and down, up and down..

feet_on_scale What is with my weight? Last Saturday when I weighed myself, I was finally in the 150’s. 159 to be exact. That is the lowest I have been for years! That weight lasted for a day. I did have a planned treat of potato chips that night and then a massive candy splurge two days later but, it usually only takes a day or two of healthy eating and lots of water to bring the gain back down. Five days later and, up, down, up , down with my weight and I have still to see the 150’s again. I fluctuate between 161 and 164 each day. What the heck is going on?

Normally I don’t let a little gain bother me especially if I know I didn’t drink enough water, had to much salt or gave in to some treat or other. But, this week is wacky and frustrating. I don’t want to have to struggle for weeks just to get back to 159. I guess I will need to sit down and look at what I have been doing and eating. I am eating too much? Too many calories? To much sugar or salt? Not enough water regularly? Time to pull out my health journal again and FIND the time to log in it. Maybe I will find a clue.

This afternoon I will do another session of yoga with my Wii fit plus ( I just loved it yesterday) and  hopefully get out for a C25K week 6 day 2 run in the evening. It is supposed to get quite a bit colder throughout the day so it may be a treadmill run….. Hold on, door bell just rang…..

Ye haw! My new dryer was just delivered! Two weeks without a dryer and 3 teenage kids! Gotta love those warranties!

I am glad to hear you got your new dryer. They are very hard to live without, especially with a house full of kids.

There are times when your weight will just do that. It isn’t necessarily anything you are (or aren’t) doing. One of the problems with daily weighing is that you will see that kind of swing up and down.

    Yay for new appliances!

weight can fluxuate sooo much, that’s why the number on the scale is so decieving – try celebrating the effort more than the result 😉

Hang in there girl. I’m not sure what’s going on with the weight, but hopefully it’ll start going the other way for you. Water retention and all that just complicates the whole process because you can have a fantastic week, and not see the results you deserve on the scale. Here’s to a better next week (for both of us!) Glad you got your new dryer!!!!
